An excursion for those who really want to contemplate the beauties of the fuegian landscape and its southern mountain range. The excursion begins with the pick up of the passengers at the hotel by bus from Ushuaia and continues along National Route No. 3 heading north. Leaving the Beagle Channel behind, you will discover the immensity of the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains, then the Carbajal valley formed by an immense peat bog. Continuing the way we will be able to observe several valleys where in winter different activities are carried out (such as sledding pulled by Huskies, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling). We will visit the Harwen winter center (closed on Mondays), home of the national snow sculpture festival. It is also part of the final section of the provincial cross-country ski trails. A very interesting part of our tour is the visit to the southernmost artisan Gin distillery in the world. There we will be able to learn about the different steps in the process of making this drink and we will also have a tasting. Next to the distillery there is a small museum where the history of the national industry motorcycles since the 1950s is exhibited, with the mythical Puma, Tehuelche, Siambretta, etc; and the experiences of the pioneers in the long trips linking the south and north of the continent. Arriving at the highest point for crossing the Andes Mountains in Tierra del Fuego Argentina, we will be in front of the Garibaldi Pass (the only place in the country where crossing the Andes Mountains does not imply crossing a border, we are still crossing the same national territory). This is a panoramic point with spectacular views of the Escondido and Fagnano Lakes and the old National Route Nº 3 in a setting of Patagonian Andean forest. The trip continues along the route until passing by the Bronzovich sawmill, an active and important sawmill on the shore of Lake Escondido. Then we will reach the Fagnano Lake, where we will be able to descend and contemplate the magnitude of the lake. On the way back to Ushuaia, we will stop at one of the winter centers and we will have time to have lunch with a typical dish of the area: "El Cordero Fueguino a la estaca" (lunch not included). After dessert, you can enjoy a moment of rest and then ride the last 20 km. to the city.
