The base of Martial Glacier is reached via the road that runs through the hotel reserve at the upper part of the city, just a few minutes from the center.
The trek begins with an ascent following the old Martial ski slope, advancing over the highest part of the Fuegian forest. The trail continues alongside the meltwater stream from the glacier. After passing the tree line, the path becomes loose rock and ice.
If weather conditions permit, lunch is enjoyed at a stunning viewpoint overlooking the city and the Beagle Channel.
The return journey is along the same trail, ending with transportation back to the hotels.
